Showdown Sunday #6: Heracross in Ubers!

Hey, guys! Welcome to today's Showdown Sunday.
I decided to try out playing the Ubers tier, which contains the strongest of strong Pokemon. I decided to use Darkrai along with Mega-Gengar and Genesect for special sweeping along with Blissey and Rotom-Wash for support and Scarf Moxie Cross (Choice Scarf, Moxie Ability Heracross) as a revenge killer/physical sweeper.

Showdown Sunday #5: Alphabet Cup!

Hey, guys! On today's Showdown Sunday segment, I decided to try out a new really fun tier on Showdown called Alphabet Cup. It's normal battling, except Pokemon can learn moves of the first letter of their name. Example: Emolga can now learn Explosion, Diglett can now learn Dragon Rage, and so on. They can still learn moves they can normally have. This is a really fun tier with many possibilities, and I've been playing it for a couple of weeks and really enjoying it.

Here is the battle! (I am blsp.)

My Team's Alpha Moves:

Medicham: Mach Punch, Milk Drink, Megahorn

Sableye: Spore, Shift Gear

Noivern: Nasty Plot

Darmanitan: Dark Void, Dragon Dance, Diamond Storm

Thundurus: Topsy-Turvy, Tail Glow

Heracross: Horn Leech, Head Smash, High Jump Kick

Showdown Sunday #4: Little Cup Shenanigans!

I decided to play some Little Cup today, but I actually have no experience in the tier at all!

I did a few practice matches before this one, and I think I put together this team quite well.

Time for a quick team analysis! Click here!

And now, the battle! Click this link!

Showdown Sunday #3: Whimsicott. Just, Whimsicott.

Hey, guys! Here with today's Showdown Sunday battle! This is an OU match against (AM)-Ziart and I made a new team for today. But that doesn't really matter, because the real star of the show today is Whimsicott. At first glance, he looks just like a stupid bush, but he has some huge potential with some annoying moves. I'll show you my set.

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Timid Nature
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Stun Spore
- Taunt

Whimsicott has no attacking moves, but the main strategy in this set is to annoy your opponent to ragequit by using Leech Seed alongside Stun Spore. Prankster will make non-attacking moves go first almost always, and since Whimsicott has no attacking moves, it will almost always go first. Although its defenses are frail, Substitute is easy to get up and you'll gradually regain your HP from Leech Seed and Leftovers. A fantastic, almost unstoppable set. Here's the battle!

Click here! (I'm GoodMorningEspeon.) Skip to Turn 23 if you want to see Whimsicott.

Showdown Sunday #2: UU Can Be Annoying

Hey, guys! Welcome to another Showdown Sunday! I decided to play a little bit of UU today for a change.

I'll give you a quick overview of my team before we get into today's battle.

Zygarde @ Lum Berry
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Outrage

This Zygarde is fantastic at late-game sweeping. It can set up a Dragon Dance and take a Will-O-Wisp with that Lum Berry. The Lum Berry can also be used to cure the confusion after Outrage, making Zygarde a force to be reckoned with!

Absol @ Absolite
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Hasty Nature
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Fire Blast
- Swords Dance

Mega-Absol is a great threat and can easily take down other stalling Pokemon with some well-timed Swords Dances. Sucker Punch can do some major damage to even the bulkiest of Pokemon once you can set and Fire Blast is great coverage despite being special. Play Rough can easily take care of Dragons like Noivern and Fighting-Types like Hitmonlee.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 224 SDef / 248 HP / 36 Spd
Calm Nature
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain
- Stealth Rock

Despite only having one attacking move and no investment in Special Attack, Celebi can do some major damage to some frailer Water-Types and Ground-Types such as Crawdaunt and even Gastrodon. SubLeech is normally abused with Whimsicott, but works with Celebi's natural bulk very well.

Chandelure @ Expert Belt
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split

Chandelure is a beast with insanely high special attack. Pain Split can help recover health, while the other three attacks will destroy anything not prepared to take it on. Unfortunately, Chandelure is sort of frail and can be taken out if your opponent can survive a STAB Flamethrower or Shadow Ball.

Kangaskhan (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Wish
- Roar
- Drain Punch
- Fake Out

Although Kangaskhanite is banned in UU and OU, Kangaskhan is still a fantastic Pokemon. It may not be the best offensively, but it is a decent supporter and can take a few physical hits, as well. Even when burned (as you'll see in this battle), Kangaskhan can still do some major damage to your opponent's team if you can Roar them out while hazards are up.

Omastar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Shell Smash
- Earth Power

BOW DOWN TO THE HELIX! Omastar is definitely the STAR of the team! But in all seriousness, Omastar is a fantastic suicide lead that can take a hit because of its Focus Sash then get a Shell Smash up and bulldoze right through your opponent's lead Pokemon.

Now for the battle!
