Shiny Spotlight: Super Dragons!

These three Pokemon all have fantastic shiny forms! Dratini and Dragonair are both pink with Dratini being a lighter pink and Dragonite is a green color with purple wings. I think Dragonite's old dark green color scheme is a little ugly, but it does look more like an actual dragon. Shiny Dragonite in X and Y has a lighter green color than past generations and it looks more sleek.

Shiny Spotlight: Ento Starters!

You might have been wondering if the Ento Pokemon that I create ever have shiny forms. The answer is yes! If you carefully read the "Electric Critters" post, you may have noticed that I even included a shiny Neuo. Today, I'm highlighting the shiny forms of the Ento starters: Marsupine, Dimmil, and Foo.

All of these shiny forms had some sort of inspiration on why I colored them that way. The mystical amazon river dolphin's pink color was inspiration for shiny Dimmil to be pink. Marsupine's shiny colors represent autumn while his regular form represents summer and spring. Foo is based on the red panda, so I thought it would be cool to make shiny Foo actually the color red. Well... it's very close to red.

That's all for today's Shiny Spotlight! There will be more Ento Spotlights in the future. Maybe even for next week ;)  Also, there will be no Time to Draw this week. The drawings found on recent posts is the closest that you'll get to "Time to Draw" this week.

Shiny Spotlight and Buneary Papercraft!

Today I'll be doing Shiny Spotlight and a papercraft in one post. This post is all about Buneary! Let's start off with the Shiny Spotlight.

Shiny Buneary looks like cotton candy! The inner ear and nose color is grey instead of pink and the body color is a slightly-dull brown. Shiny Lopunny has the same color palette as Buneary does.

You can even make a shiny Buneary of your own! The Buneary papercraft is ready to construct, so click a link below to get started! If you're having troubles with printing or making papercrafts. you should go to the Papercraft Help Page.

Thanks to Serebii for the sprites!

Shiny Spotlight: Spectacular Pokemon!

I know that A LOT of people like Barboach and Whiscash (Especially Barboach), so I decided that I would be doing them for Shiny Spotlight this week. These two Pokemon have great shiny forms.

Shiny Barboach and Whiscash are both very recognizable. Barboach looks a bit more appealing than Whishcash, with its bright-yellow color. Whishcash has a pink color replace the yellow that it has in its regular form. Shiny Barboach is cool. You should catch one now. Do it. Now. Come on. I'm waiting... Why aren't you listening to meeeeeee

Well.. that's all, folks. Look forward to Thursday, along with a Speedpaint that day.

Shiny Spotlight: Prankster Edition!

Sean pointed out to me that I didn't post a Shiny Spotlight this week, so here I am. Since it was April Fool's Day yesterday, I'm going to be spotlighting a shiny "prankster" Pokemon: Sableye! If you read Sean's post, then you might know that Sableye has "Prankster" as it Hidden Ability. I also think Sableye looks very mischievous in appearance.
Shiny Sableye is gold and has a green gem on its chest. It has pale brown eyes instead of light blue eyes.

Shiny Spotlight: Electric Critters!

There is a tradition of small electric creatures for each generation. Pikachu and Raichu came first, then Pichu, Plusle and Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga, and Dedenne. Most of their shiny forms are really cool and look very cute.

Plusle and Minun can be compared to how Pikachu, Raichu, and Pichu are shiny. They also slightly differ in shade and have darker main body colors. In this case, their bodies appear as a darker yellow. Minun is more noticeable than Plusle with its green ears and hands.

Pachirisu is pink and has orange cheeks. It looks incredibly girly. #totallygirlypink  :P

Emolga is one of my favorite shinies. It is cream brown and pale yellow. These colors go together very nicely, and it takes on a pastel-style look.

Dedenne is the new addition to the gang. He is brown, yellow, and white. I loved this shiny so much that I spent hours attempting to hatch one! I succeeded, and now there's a little sparkly hamtaro named Smitty in my PC.  :)

Pichu's evolutionary line isn't really all that fantastic when it comes to being shiny. Pichu is apparently the color of a regular Pikachu, and shiny Pikachu takes on a gold tint. Raichu looks bright and is a dark orange instead of its normal pale orange color.

(Unfortunately, I couldn't find any shiny sprites from X and Y for these three Pokemon.)

That's all for now! By the way, if there was a shiny Neuo: It would have maroon ears and the same body color that shiny Plusle and Minun have ;)

Thanks to Serebii.net for temporarily shutting down multiple times and being incredibly laggy the shiny sprites I used in this post!

Shiny Spotlight: St. Patrick's Day Special!

Today is St. Patricks's Day, that jolly holiday when everything is lucky and green! To celebrate this holiday, today I will be doing two Pokemon that have green shiny forms: Ursaring and Teddiursa.

Both Pokemon are very vibrant and clearly stand out from their regular forms. Teddiursa is a dull light green, while Ursaring is a neon lime green.
That's it for now!

Shiny Spotlight #3: The Eevee Family!

Eevee and its evolutions, also known as "Eeveelutions", have very interesting shiny forms. Shiny Vaporeon looks somewhat like a mermaid as its shiny form, and Espeon resembles a weird goblin... Jolteon looks like it is about to barf and Eevee looks as if it face-planted into snow. Shiny Umbreon looks by far the most cool out of the bunch with its blue radiant glow. Glaceon, Leafeon, and Flareon do not have very good shiny forms because they only change slightly in shade. Shiny Sylveon is the newcomer of the gang, and it looks like a boy wearing female clothes.

Well, that's all for now...see you next week for another Shiny Spotlight!

Shiny Spotlight #2: Shellos and Gastrodon

Shellos and Gastrodon's shiny forms are not that great. Shiny West Shellos is hardly recognizable as a shiny, while East Shellos is a bit more recognizable.

Gastrodon is the opposite as Shellos when it is recognized as a shiny. This time, West Gastrodon seems to be more noticeable as shiny than East Gastrodon.

Shiny Spotlight #1: Chimecho and Chingling

Shiny Chimecho is pretty cool when it's shiny. It is gold instead of maroon and green instead of blue. However, shiny Chingling is not that cool.... It is only slightly different having a yellow-greenish body and reddish-orange ears.
