Okay so part of an April Fool's Prank, Google has hidden POKEMON on Google Maps. Don't believe me? Download the Google Maps App for iOS or Android and you can check it out for yourself. There's even an Emolga in Switzerland! It's pretty cool. You can read more about it here.

Hack/Mod #2: Pokemon Light Platinum!
Hey, guys! After some thinking, I decided on this fine Saturday, I'd give you another Pokemon Mod/Hack fit to run on your computer! Today I'll be giving you guys Pokemon Light Platinum! This hack was created by Wesley FG and it's a hack of Pokemon Ruby. However, unlike Pokemon FireRed Omega, which is a small twist on FireRed, Light Platinum is completely different from Ruby! It has two new regions, Pokemon from Sinnoh and Unova, different Gym Leaders, a new story, and more!
In this download link I've provided everything you need to play this hack, including VisualBoy Advance (the program you need to play the game), the Pokemon Light Platinum.gba file which contains the actual game, and a set of instructions on how to start the game up.
Click here for the download link!
You can't just open up the folder and play right away, because the folder is zipped and won't let you use the items in it. You need to right click on it and select "Extract all". Choose a destination for the files to be extracted to, and then you'll have your files! Read the instructions included in the folder, then enjoy!
(Edit: You need to go to Emulator->Save Type->Flash 128K if you want this game to work.)
~Credits to emulator-zone.com for the program, VisualBoy Advance. THANKS, EMULATORZONE!!!~
~Credits to coolrom.com for the Light Platinum file. THANKS, COOLROM!!!~

Pokemon Fusion: Shelltini!
Have you ever tried out Pokemon Fusion? It's a website that allows you to mix two Pokemon sprites together. You can currently mix Pokemon only from the first generation, but it's still loads of fun. You can randomize or create your own to create cool, cute or freaky Poke-muhjiggers! I tried it out and created a "Shelltini".
Wow. That's pretty freaky. I felt like drawing it out because it's simply too weird to comprehend! I've also seen people draw Pokemon Fusions in a way similar to what I've drawn it here, so I decided it would be fun to do it too. I'll probably post some more fusions soon, so keep your eyes out for it!

Hack/Mod #1: Pokemon FireRed Omega!
Hello, everyone! I'm back here again with a second post today to tell you about a cool Pokemon Hack called FireRed Omega.
It's an edited version of Pokemon FireRed fit to run on your computer. The difficulty of the game has increased and there are more Pokemon to be found!
Technically, it's more of a "mod" than a "hack".
However, you may not know how to properly set up the usage of this game, so I've helped you out by making a download link for everything you'll need to start playing FireRed Omega.
Click here for the download link!
Once it is downloaded, you'll want to go to where it downloaded to (most likely your Downloads folder) and right click on the "compressed folder". Then, you click extract all and select a location for the files to be sent to.
Once the .zip folder is opened, you'll find VisualBoy Advance and Pokemon FireRed Omega.gba in the folder. You'll also see two text documents. I recommend you read the Instructions that I've put in there before you set up your game.
The Starter Locations file will be useful once you start up your game.

~Credits to Mediafire for hosting a place for me to upload the files necessary. THANKS, MEDIAFIRE!!!~
~Credits to the creators of VisualBoy Advance for making the program used to play this game and many others. THANKS, VISUALBOY ADVANCE!!!~

Goomy Clicker!
Recently, I've been playing a little game called Goomy Clicker. It's based on Cookie Clicker and is played in the same way. It is way funner though because it has Goomy instead of cookies! Click here to play it! This is a little sample of what it looks like:

Showdown Tutorial!
Hello! Normally, I don't post on Wednesdays. But, today I have nothing else to do, so I'll show you how to get started with battles on Pokemon Showdown!
Also, remember, if you haven't already, vote for the type I'll use for the next Monotype Monday!
Click this to view the long post!
Step 1: Go onto Showdown.
Click here for a quick link to Showdown.
Once the page is loaded, you should get something that looks like this:
Got that? Great.
Assuming you haven't gone onto Showdown before or even know what it is. I'll first tell you how to get an account.
Step 2: Get a username and register it.
Go to "Choose name" in the top right corner and find a username that hasn't been registered.
As you can see, once you find a username, it will show up. Next, you want to click that gear. If you go to the bottom, you will find a button that says "Register".
.
If you want, you can change around some of the settings, but I'll leave those for now. Click register, and you'll go through a simple registration process that I won't bother showing. No email, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ garbage, just a password and a simple question. If you can't figure that out, you don't belong on the Internet.
Step 3: Making your team
Here on Showdown, you don't catch Pokemon. You can just make them with a few clever button clicks.
First things first, go to the Teambuilder.
Following that, you want to make a new team.
Now, you'll see a screen like this:
Before doing this, you should really try to understand the Smogon Tier System. At the moment, all of the tiers aren't constructed yet, so I'll give you a quick crash course in the current tiers.

Quick crash course? That took me like 45 minutes to write!
Whew! Now, we can get started making a team. I'll be making a sample OU Team.
Make sure you are in the right format. At the moment, you probably don't have any Pokemon. Click the "Add pokemon" button.
As you can see, there are Pokemon for you to choose from. I'm going to be choosing Azumarill because Azumarill is cool.
Once you have selected you Pokemon, you will work on the the assets of your Pokemon. I find this Teambuilder easy to use, but I'll guide you through how to make a proper Pokemon.
As you can see, you can change the nickname, give your Pokemon an item, change the ability, and give moves. These are basic things you want to do. I'll do those quickly, and...
Voila! An Azumarill!
Now, you're probably wondering what all those weird numbers mean. Unless you're like me and are really picky about your EVs and IVs, I recommend you click that button I circled in red.
After you do that, click the plus sign and add five more Pokemon to your team. I'll just take care of that...
Oh! I forgot to mention that if you want a Mega-Evolution on your team, that's fine. Showdown has full access to all of the megas.
Let's say you want a Mega-Venusaur. You'd go into the search box...
You DO NOT click the Venusaur-Mega. You click the Venusaur and give it the Venusaurite.
Seems odd, but that's the way you have to do it or your team will be invalid.
Speaking of invalid things, make sure you are choosing moves that are legal!
Don't be dumb and do this!
Anyways, back to finishing my sample team...
Unfortunately, Azumarill got a little cut off...
So now I'm done, so I need to go back to the Home Tab.
Then, you'll select the tier that you made your team in.
Ignore the fact that Zygarde looks like a Victreebel. Just a programming error!
Once you're ready, you can look for a battle! Good luck and have fun!
